First title fight is “fast approaching” for Swindon’s Watkins

Swindon cruiserweight Luke Watkins says 2017 is the year he is going to start winning titles.

Watkins will return to ring on April 8th when he fights on the undercard to Ryan Martin’s WBC World Youth welterweight title fight against Michael McKinson.

An opponent will be announced in due course for Watkins who will take his unblemished record to 10-0 with victory on April 8th.

Martin “100 per cent” sure he’ll be crowned WBC champ

Swindon boxer Ryan Martin has vowed to bring the “best version” of himself into the ring when he takes on Portsmouth’s Michael McKinson for the WBC World Youth title in April.

The fight itself will take place in Martin’s home town at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre on April 8th with the show billed as “Risky Business”.

Trifecta Sports Entertainment to shake up Swindon boxing scene

A new sports management company was launched on Saturday by four of the town’s boxing names Paddy Fitzpatrick, Luke Watkins, Ryan Martin and Sam Smith.

The quartet have formed a company called Trifecta Sports Entertainment and promised to “shake up” the local boxing scene.
